Citura® offers three solutions for forage inoculant needs and private labeling capabilities

Citura®’s forage inoculant brands Promote® Forage-Mate® and PreZerv are manufactured in our Specialty Blending Facility, a state-of-the-art site built in 2016. Our technical expertise in forage management and commitment to serve our customers led us to the decision to manufacture our own inoculants. Investing in these capabilities allows us to bring the newest innovations to our Promote® silage inoculant line, add our PreZerv line for dealers and distributors, and grow our custom blending services for larger customers interested in marketing their own private-label inoculants. Controlling the manufacturing process gives us infinite flexibility for formula design and packaging options, and the agility to serve our customer base.

Our Specialty Blending Facility leverages our partnerships for raw material sourcing and our strengths in manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer service. Our operational excellence in this area also includes just-in-time fulfillment, with direct shipment of our water soluble products to end users when they need it. Dealers and distributors don’t have to worry about logistics or carrying inventory, and orders can be placed based on current conditions for harvest, making inoculants easy for our customers.

Our team is passionate about making top notch inoculants that deliver the results our customers expect. Our diverse staff has the capability to meet all of your inoculant needs, from research to manufacturing to in-field technical support. We strive for continuous improvement for our products through research partnerships with universities, research labs, and Cargill innovation and technical application centers. Our research investigates different strains of bacteria, including Lactobacillus plantarum, Pediococcus pentosaceous, Pediococcus acidilactici, Lactococcus lactis, and Lactobacillus buchneri, and blends of these bacteria to assess their functionality in such areas as improving nutrient retention, decreasing dry matter loss, improving aerobic stability, and increasing fiber digestibility. We do bench-top research and full scale silage bunk research to qualify our formula changes. Our Cargill Forage Lab has been servicing our customers for over 30 years, receiving up to 600 samples per day for nutrient analysis. The forage lab not only provides feedback to the customer on available nutrients for their animals, but also helps our forage team understand how reliably our inoculants perform by logging data on inoculant products used on forage samples.

Inoculant technology is an extremely popular tool utilized by progressive dairy producers to help them improve their forage quality. Inoculants help cows reach their potential for milk production through their feed. Citura® makes inoculants easy!
